Which SCRAP do I need: household, commercial or industrial?

It depends on whether the general public can buy the packaged product. If it can, the packaging is household packaging.

Quick answer

It follows from the packaging category, and the first test is simple: can the general public buy the packaged product? If yes, MITECO's FAQ classes the packaging as household (doméstico). If not, it is commercial when used by the services and trade sectors (NACE Rev. 2 sections G to U) and industrial otherwise. You need a SCRAP authorised for each category you place on the market, and RD 1055/2022 bars mixing several schemes for the same household product in primary and secondary packaging of the same material. Commercial and industrial packaging have needed a scheme since 31 December 2024.
