No, not for an update. MITECO's FAQ says the number stays the same when a producer's registration data is updated. It changes only if the registration is cancelled (baja) and a new one is made: the new number is then the one to use on invoices, and the old one becomes obsolete. A change of company name with the same NIF is a simple modification; a change of NIF needs a new registration with a certificate for the new NIF, and then deregistration of the old one. MITECO
